Mother's Day gift for a First time celebrator!

My sister-in-law was pregnant with her first baby over Mother's Day, which of course meant she too needed to be celebrated!  We individually wrapped 10 different children's books about being a mother (think Dr. Suess' "Are You My Mother?", Little Golden Book's "Little Mommy", "What Mom's Can't Do" by Douglas Wood, etc).  We also included hand written messages in each book with our favorite parenting tips and a message to our future niece/nephew.  She was so touched when she opened the packages to not only be thought of but also because it helped build her library of children's books.  3 years and another child later, they are still books I hear her read to her children today.

I always suggest books for young children, especially the classics! Love the idea of including parenting tips too :)
