My Dad, The Science Guy

It's not easy to shop for my parents, especially my dad. He's very practical so historically I've given him things like polos and gift cards. I wanted to do something different this time because I felt like I wasn't spending enough time with my parents and because I knew from my experience with charity auctions that there was a reason why experiences sold more than physical items or gift cards. My dad always watches the history channel and is basically an engineer without the fancy degree (or thousands of dollars in student loan debt), so I took him to the Museum of Science and Industry for Father's Day. In addition to being practical, my dad is also a very serious person, so it was nice to see him really enjoying himself with the interactive exhibits. I could tell he liked the U-boat exhibit the most, so I splurged on an interactive walk through of the U-505 Submarine. I think he had fun, but the proof is in the Instagram post...
